in Friday i want to the beach.I learn how to surf and body bored i like body bored because it is easy and fun the more hard is surfing because i need to Carey it and it ways too too heavy.i was so tired but it was so fun still.

this week in literacy i looked at Horton hatches the egg i love the book its about a elephant is siting in a egg on a tree.we made a sheet about Horton like Horton is nice to people.I found it easy because i just need to talk about Horton and i just need to read the Horton hatches the egg.

te reo maroi

In today we do some te reo maori we were leaning about kei hea te and we we say tika tika and na wai tenei that means you are right and who dose this belong to.We give in a sheet to do we write te or a in  the space.

In reading with miss.woolley read tartan and the flying scarf and tartan and tartan and the burping hat.it is a cool book i read.I like the then they burp and i hate ist they let go.the part i like is the taran and the flying scarfi its my favorite part in the book.

st andrews day!

On Friday some leaders from st Andrews school came to south Hornby. They ran some activities for us including jump jam marshmallow tower Multi sport play dough ping pong catapulit. They also made us a free lunch.They give us hot dogs and juice its supper yummy.

Matariki

This week we have been learning about Matariki.We have made some stars by weaving them in a certain pattern.I found it hard to Weave the string but i had fun making the stars.

The three little pigs

We read three different versions of the Three little pigs As a group we described what the characters were like.We compared two version of then story. We said what was the same and what was different.

The seven stars of Matarikin maths

We looked at a photo of the 7 stars of  matariki. We talked about palygons. Position are shapes. We had to use the position of the stars to create different shapes. The most  simple pdygon i made was circle.The most complex or diffident pdygon i made was triangle.

In maths we have been learning to solve multiplication problems by using repeated addition  or our times tables.Mrs Guinniety gave as a sheet with  smiley faces on it and we had  to cut them up into rectangles.We then to work out  how many faces  there were in each one using  repeated addition or times tables.

this week in math we learn about block is  diffract color block. there is diffract ways to do a patterns. you need 6 red block 6 yellow and 6 blue first the red in the top next the blue in the middle and yellow in the bottom or red in the bottom yellow in the middle and blue in the top and blue in the bottom red in the middle and yellow in the top

In literary we have been reading the story by Dr.suess called The Loarax.We learnt all about the characters .We descriptions about the once ler. We looked at what was the same and what was different about them.

in literacy we have been learning about monkeys.we read stories about monkeys we research facts  about monkeys we watched videos about  monkeys my favorite monkey is spider monkey.

in writing we have learning to use wow words. we had to describe what instant pudding tasted smelt looked and felt like i found eating easy i found describe is hard.

in hockey i do lots of things to do first thing i do is dribble i know to do and we have a worm up and then we play rob the nest i was fun to play you must have 6 gorps of nest if the balls in the middle  and the first people in the line is going to go to the middle and get a ball 1 ball at a time and put in the hoop and put and ball who ever have lots of balls win now stopping the ball i do that skill in my old school and i was getting good and good and good and i win and i was the best hockey player in my old school .
